8 Years

Happy anniversary to the love of my life and father of my children!  It's been a great 8 years and I can't wait to see what the future will bring.

Oldest Friend

My oldest friend Laura (I've known here for at least 20 years) came to visit this week.  It was great to see her and catchup.  We didn't really do much because of David.  It was great to just hang out, watch tv, and remember the old days.  We dug out the videos that we made 15 years ago and realized how stupid we were back then.

Mother's Day 2014

Yesterday was Mother's Day.  I've celebrated the past 8 Mother's Days thanks to Peanut, this one was special cause of our new little man.  Lucas bought me a charm for my bracelet that is a pair of baby booties that one will be engraved DLH and the other 4-7-14.  I can't wait for it to come in.  We went to early church and Lucas got me a corsage.  After we tried to go to IHOP (I've been craving waffles thanks to the show Parks and Recreation) but it was crazy busy.  Instead we stopped at Target and bought a waffle iron and mix and Lucas made me waffles.  They were delicious and topped with strawberries and whipped cream.  Lucas and David went grocery shopping by themselves leaving me alone for the first time in over a month.  Sadly I did laundry and dishes but had about 15 mins of quiet reading which was great.  Even though Lucas doesn't like hallmark holidays like this one, he made it a pretty great one :)

Happy 1 Month

May 7 marked David being 1 month old.  He's already changed so much.  He has outgrown his newborn clothes and some of his socks.  He has flipped from tummy to back 3 times and from back to tummy 1 time.  David is much more alert and active now as well.  He loves to be outside or at a window looking outside.  He has even started smiling at us which is great.  He has slept 6hrs straight twice now.  He has gained 3lbs and grown 2".  Can't wait to see what the next month holds!

Grocery shopping

David and I went grocery shopping yesterday all by ourselves. It was our first outing alone and we did great!  He fell asleep in the car on the way there and slept until we got home. I had three strangers tell me how beautiful he is.

Finally got the photos back from David's newborn session.  I love them and am so happy I convinced Lucas that we needed to do this.  To see all the photos, click HERE.

Growing feet

David's feet have definitely grown. These socks used to fit his feet.  He still wore them all day though. 

4 weeks

Yesterday marked 4 weeks of David. He celebrate by sleeping almost 5 hrs straight last night!  Made me extremely happy, almost feel like a normal person today since I got more than 5 hrs of sleep last night. 

He had another accomplishment today. David rolled front to back on his own!  He had previously rolled back to front for my Dad (David's Poppa) and another time for us. 

It's crazy how much he changes and grows with each day.
