Road Trip Day 1
Since David has yet to meet Luke's two sisters and their families, my grandparents, my best friend, and other good friends we decided to drive to Florida and spend the week of July 4th visiting people. I dreaded the car ride with a passion. Only car trip more than 30mins he had been on, did not go well.
Thankfully our son is awesome and apparently likes to prove me wrong. We had roughly 8hrs to go the first day and we only had to stop once. I was so proud of him. He slept through most of it and was only awake for about 1 1/2 hours.

Carrier
Tried David in the carrier with him facing front for the first time. He liked it much better than facing in. I think he's afraid he's going to miss something.

Feeling Spiffy
Today David, Nana, and I went to a women's luncheon at the PCA General Assembly. It was a nice time even though David would not go to sleep and ate half the time. Here is a picture of him looking all spiffy.

Backstreet's Back Alright!
On June 5 Marti, Toni, and I went to the Woodlands to see Avril Lavigne and the Backstreet Boys. It was awesome. The concert was great and we all screamed along to their hits. My favorite quote of the night came from Nick Carter who said "Can we all act like 15year olds who can drink?"
It was also the longest I've ever been away from David and also the first time that I did not put him to bed. I did pretty good. I did miss him but I knew he was in good hands with Lucas and my parents.

Back So Soon
Matt, Renee, and Logan came back to visit over Memorial Day weekend. It was great to see them again. We did some museums, went to the pool, and watched all the X-Men movies in preparation for the new one that came out. Luke and Matt also played a ton of games. It was relaxing and nice to spend time with them.
Aunt Sarah Visits
My sister Sarah and her friend Rhonda came to visit in May. Sarah was very excited to meet/see David. It was nice to have them here, especially since they kept buying and making me food! They volunteered to babysit David so we could go out for our 8 year anniversary.

Baptism April 27, 2014
David was baptized on Sunday April 27, 2014. We were blessed to have both sets of parents here along with Lucas's brother Matt, his wife Renee, and their son Logan. Matt and Renee are David's godparents. Lucas's father did the baptism. It went very well. David slept through everything including the entire church service. Afterwards we had a small gathering at the house to celebrate. We got Rudy's BBQ and Marti and Toni bought sides.

Father's Day 2014
Happy Father's Day to Lucas, my Dad Marion, and my father-in-law Tom. Dad was here to celebrate with us. Before church, David and Peanut gave Lucas some books. Dad got a book and some earphones. After church we came home and Lucas and I went to see the new X-Men movie while my Mom and Dad watched David. Then we all went to Babies r Us to get some diapers and a Wii U for Lucas (pretty nice Father's Day gift if you ask me). For dinner we went to Lucas's favorite Mexican restaurant Mi Sombrero, which is authentic, good, and cheap.
